Revolutionizing Custom Car Building in Just 5 Days

The Custom Car World Will Never Be The Same.

What happens when 25 of the most talented builders from across the country gather at Fuller Moto with one massive goal: build a fully custom body for a 19-foot Fleetwood — in just five days?

Armed with cutting-edge digital metal shaping technology and a lifetime of hands-on skill, this team set out to prove that the future of car building isn’t about choosing between tradition and innovation — it’s about fusing both to do what’s never been done before.

What followed wasn’t just a build — it was a high-pressure, full-throttle collaboration that redefined what’s possible in custom fabrication.

Watch the full recap video below and see how it all came together.

The Challenge: A Bold New Test for Custom Car Building

This wasn’t just a build — it was an experiment in speed, precision, and innovation. The idea was simple but daring: could a team of elite builders come together and create a custom car body from scratch in just five days? Traditionally, a project like this would take six months or more. But by combining expert craftsmanship with cutting-edge digital metal shaping technology, we set out to build a 19-foot Fleetwood unlike anything the industry had ever seen — and to do it under serious time pressure.

The Build Process: Five Days of Collaboration, Chaos, and Craftsmanship

Every day brought new challenges — and massive progress. From crate drop to final weld, the build was a high-speed mix of metal shaping, teamwork, and fast problem-solving. With 25 builders on site, each brought their unique skills and styles to the process. The goal wasn’t just to finish — it was to explore what’s possible when tradition meets modern tools in a fully collaborative environment.

The Technology: Five Days of Collaboration, Chaos, and Craftsmanship

This project showcased the potential of digital forming tools to change the way we build. Using advanced 3D scanning, CAD design, and digitally controlled metal shaping systems from Figur, our team was able to take digital blueprints and form aluminum panels with an accuracy and speed that would be impossible by hand alone. These tools didn’t replace the builders — they empowered them. The result? A handcrafted car that was not only built faster, but with more precision and creative freedom than ever before.
